Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s is required.
  • Male applicants for the Delhi Police Sub Inspector position must have a current LMV driver license.

Age Requirements: 

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years

Physical Standards:

The SSC’s physical requirements for height, chest and weight should be met by candidates. Detailed criteria will be outlined in the SSC formal notification.

  • For PST Male Candidates:
    • Height: 170 cm (General), 162.5 cm (ST)
    • Chest: 80 cm (unexpanded) with minimum expansion of 5 cm (General), 77 cm (unexpanded) with minimum expansion of 5 cm. 
  • For PST Female Candidates:
    • Height: 157 cm (General), 154 cm (ST)
    • Chest: Not applicable
  • For PET Male Candidates:
  • 16 second 100 meter race
  • 6.5 minutes for a 1.6 km race
  • 3.65 meter long jump (3 chances)
  • 1.2 meter high jump (3 chances)
  • 16 pound shot put: 4.5 meters (3 chances)
  • For Female PET Candidates:
    • 18 second 100 meter race
  • 4 minutes for an 800 meter race
  • 2.7 meter long jump (3 chances)
  • 0.9 meter high jump (3 chances)
