Centre for Alternate Energy Research is an endeavor to
actively promote non-conventional and renewable energy. It
also seeks to achieve' break-throughs' in the cutting edge
technologies in this area through research and development
under the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies with
focus on Bio-fuels, Bio-energy, Solar and Wind energy etc.

Centre for Aviation Studies |
UPES is the pioneer university in Pan Asia Region to impart post
graduate MBA Degree in Aviation Management from the academic
year of 2005. It started with a batch of 60 students. Nos got
increased to 64 and 65 in 2006 & 2007 respectively. All the
students of the first batch were placed in the industry.
The Centre for Aviation Studies is operating at its NCR Gurgaon
center. At this centre presentely two courses viz MBA (Aviation
Management, 2 yrs), BBA (Aviation Operations, 3 yrs) are being
conducted. And other program of B. Tech. (Aerospace Engineering,
4 yrs) is being conducted at the Dehradun campus.
UPES has also entered into a special arrangement with Spice Jet
to train their workforce in the Aviation Management. The first
batch of Spice Jet is already joined the program since January
2008
