Students
Admission Procedure
Students, who
have a GMAT score of 600 (taken not later than October, 2007)
can apply directly for admission to the programs offered by
College of Management & Economics Studies and those with SAT
score of 1500 can apply directly for undergraduate courses
offered by College of Engineering Studies, College of Iegel
Studies. Students with GRE Score of 1700 (cumulative) can
apply directly for Post Graduate courses offered by College of
Engineering Studies. All the eligible students will be
required to go through process of telephonic interview at
their own cost. In addition to the minimum educational
qualification or equivalent as prescribed for various courses,
a candidate seeking admission under direct channel of
admission must fulfill the following conditions in order of
preference.

The candidate
must be the Son or Daughter of an NRI or a foreign national,
and must have obtained prescribed qualification from a School/
College located abroad, and
-
The
Degrees/Certificates of the candidates have been recognized
and approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/Common-wealth
Universities/International Association of Universities (IAU)
as equivalent to the corresponding Indian
Degrees/Certificates.

The candidate
must have stayed abroad for at least five years during the
preceding eight years from the year of admission, or
-
The candidate
must be the citizen of a foreign land holding a valid passport
issued by a foreign country. These students shall pay
prescribed fees in USD or equivalent.

The candidate
must have a duly valid Certificate indicating PIO status
issued by a competent authority.

Indians resident
outside India, and foreign nationals, fall under the "Overseas
Candidates" category. To qualify as an Indian resident abroad,
a candidate should be an Indian who expects to live, work or
study outside India for at least 12 months continuously as of
December 15, 2007.

The candidate
admitted under this category are required to produce proof of
their NRI/Foreign National/PIO status;

Attested copy of
the 10th or 10+2/Graduation marks card; Attested copies of
transfer certificate;

Copy of passport
and student visa;
-
Copy of
residential permit issued by the Foreigners Regional (FRRO)
Registration office or the District Superintendent of Police.
Students who are finally offered admission will have to
register themselves with the local police authorities as per
regulation of the ministry of external affairs.

TOEFL score card;

Note: SAARC Countries- for
students who are citizens of member states of SAARC -
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and
Sri Lanka - need to show appropriate proof of citizenship
a) Limited Hostel facilities are available only at Dehradun &
Rajahmundry campus on a first come first serve basis, and the
above fee does not include Hostel Room Rent.
b) Hostel accommodation is not provided in Gurgaon (Haryana),
and students admitted at Gurgaon Campus must make their own
arrange-ments for boarding and lodging
c)All charges and fees to be paid by crossed Demand Draft in
favour of University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, payable
at New Delhi.
Cost of NRI Prospectus & Application
form: $ 75 USD by Demand Draft. Please note that all above
charges, fees are to be paid by crossed Demand Draft in favour
of “University of Petroleum & Energy Studies”, payable at
New Delhi.
