Centre of
Policy – Energy (COPE)
Centre of Policy – Energy (COPE) envisions a world of processes
enabled through clean and efficient energy. The Centre envisages
creation of methodologies through which optimum solution can be
found. The task requires bringing a sizeable proportion of
people at a common wavelength. The energy sector has far too
many zones of uncertainties leading to stifled and many a times
not so correct decision making. The sector requires strategic
management. The players in the sector are often found to be in
reactionary mode rather than being pro-active.
COPE would indulge in high quality research to identify key
issues in developing an energy scenario which can boast of
equity, adequacy and being environment-friendly. It proposes to
set up the requisite forum to discuss the issues and suggest
possible solutions. Lack of proper communication has quite often
rendered fantastic solutions as ineffective.
COPE would take
initiatives in creating the desired awareness and inspiration
among the strategic groups. The Centre strives to be a premier
institution dedicated to policy development in energy sector.
The Centre aims to achieve cohesion of intellectual discipline
and entrepreneurial pragmatism to assist policy formulation and
implementation for a sustainable energy secure future.
